Good Leadership is defined as motivating people to achieve goals and objectives interestingly and easily in any given situation. There are various characteristics of good leadership. In determining the goals and objectives, the leader plays an important role. Here, the role of a leader in leadership is to achieve certain goals. A good leader should have a clear sense of vision and good judgment so that the people under them work in a dynamic environment.Good leadership also has other characteristics of adaptability, objectivity, and self-knowledge. A good leader can adapt to any environment and have good self-knowledge about the task he is carrying. Another important characteristic of good leadership is that they can co-operative with any other members of the team. They can act independently in any situation.

Here, we will learn about 3 important leadership styles. They are autocratic leadership style, democratic leadership style, and free ruin leadership style.
Autocratic leadership style (dictatorial leadership style):
In an autocratic leadership style, the decision and power making authority is centralized in the leader. This type of leadership style is also known as a dictatorial leadership style because this type of leadership is leader-centered. The important characteristics of an autocratic leadership style are that leaders make all decisions as they have position-based authority.In this type of leadership style, the leader gives a reward as they like. The other things like punishment are also given by the leader as they like. All data and information are handled by the leader. The leader is at the top level, the authority holder.
Democratic leadership style (consultative leadership style):
In the democratic leadership style, the decision and power making authorities are decentralized. This type of leadership style is also known as a consultative leadership style as they seek information from others. It is group-centered which is a very important leadership style. The important characteristics of a democratic leadership style are that information is shared between leaders and other team members. The democratic leadership style is very important in teamwork.The other important characteristics of a democratic leadership style are that various responsibilities are delegated and have a performance-based reward. The best person gets a reward i.e. the person who gives his best deserves the reward. Also, the punishment is given based on results and outputs. It is a very important leadership style as the leader always consults with other team members about various decisions.
Free ruin leadership style (Laissez-faire leadership style):
In the free ruin leadership style, the decision and power-making authority is given to the subordinates. This type of leadership style is known as the Laissez-faire leadership style which is individual-centered. The important characteristics of the free ruin leadership style are that leader has very little power as compared to the subordinates. The leaders only act as an information center. The subordinates have more power and control as they have decentralized authority.Unlike another leadership style, the subordinates have a high degree of independence in any power and decision-making. In a free ruin style, the subordinates have their own goals and objectives. This type of leadership style is commonly used in research desired jobs.
