Why Organizational Behavior Important In Organizations
Organizational Behavior studies the overall behavior of the people in an organization. Organizational Behavior concepts in the work settings are based on systematic studies and sometimes intuition as well. Intuition is the unconscious process of making decisions based on past experiences and actions. It doesn't mean with sense or supernatural powers. An organization's work setting is mostly based on systematic studies i.e. the systematic or series of workflow and taking decisions in a systematic way so that no problem arises in the future that is uncontrollable.
Today's organizations are responding to economic pressures, responding to globalization, managing workforce diversity, stimulating to innovation and change, improve customer service and ethical values, work in a networked organizations, have to create positive diversity environment, etc. which needs commitment of leaders, integration of strategic plan, communication and association of teams. In this perspective, organizations need systematic and sometimes intuitive thinking and decision so as to achieve the acceptance level of standards on goals.
The Big Five Traits are:

They are necessary tools or instrument to understand the behavior of the people in the organization. It measures 'who is capable of what, what characteristics they hold' and 'what and how the behavior that is little of no use to the organization can be controlled. These traits will make people aware of and understand their behavior and personality they possess. It helps the organization's employees to perform and achieve the goals by adjusting their personality as per the organization.
For example, I have a friend who is working in one of the top companies, in the finance department. And she was given a task to perform all the financial report in a two days time. She is a type of person that is not emotionally stable where she has the fluctuating emotions and moods going around all the time. She could not bear the pressure or stress of managing to provide the report within two days time. And, she also could not ask others for support as she is Introvert and less agreeable. The financial task of that company requires more patience and the attitude of working in stress, but her personality does not suit that department.
