True facts of the Lord Buddha

The full name of Buddha is Lord Gautam Buddha. The other Names of Buddha are Siddhartha Gautam, or Shakyamuni (the ascetic of the Shakyas). Lord Buddha is titled The Apostle of Peace, the Light of Asia. The Apostle of Peace is known as the messenger of peace. Buddha is a symbol of peace.

Lord Buddha was born in c.563 BCE or c.480 BCE. Lumbini, Nepal is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Buddha Purnima is Buddha's day; the day celebrating the birth, enlightenment, and death of Lord Buddha. It is the most important festival of Buddhist & other religions as well, celebrated with great enthusiasm to bring peace and happiness.

The meaning of Buddha: The Enlightened One, or Awakened One. Enlightenment is the state of being enlightened which is used to signify knowledge, wisdom, blowing out of disturbing emotions, and subsequent freedom.

The Lord Buddha is the Founder of the Buddhist religion. Buddhism is a widespread religion or philosophy founded by the Buddha.

Buddha's Father's Name is Suddhodan Gautam. He was the King of the Sakya dynasty. Buddha's Mother's Name is Maya Devi (or Maha Maya). She was the queen of the Sakya dynasty. Maha Pajapati is the Foster Mother of Lord Buddha.

Yasodhara Gautam is the Name of Siddhartha Gautam Buddha's wife. You may also know there was only one child of Siddhartha Gautam Buddha. Rahul is the Name of Buddha's son.

He is perfectly self-enlightened. He gained Nirvana through his own efforts. The Lord Buddha is believed to have achieved full enlightenment. He attained deep knowledge to gain full enlightenment. They are an insight into his past lives, insight into the workings of Karma and Reincarnation; and insight into the Four Noble Truths.

He identified Noble Eightfold Path which is termed as right views, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration.

He has the quality of well speaking. He can understand the true meaning of words and various actions regarding them. He always used polite and positive words. He has a wide knowledge of many worlds. He attained broad knowledge on earth, heaven, and hell.

He is the teacher of humans as well as gods (having supernatural powers). He is also the leader of persons to be trained and mastered. He is worthy one i.e. he is truly worthy of veneration and offerings. In other words, he is a person who had attained the ultimate goal.
